Colour Explosion #Etsy

I saw this and thought, Wow!! Such beautifully done creations in glorious technicolor. Well you know me and rainbows. The minute I saw this that was what sprung to mind and I just had to put it on here for you all.
After all who doesn`t feel enlivened by a bit of colour? This much all at once should give a real boost.

Yesterday was a catch up day, mainly on the computer. I was also working on a commission too, starting the preparation, organising the artwork and setting out a verse that would fit with the name.
I love the challenge of something different and new, it really sparks the creative process and I then often find new ideas coming up too.
I love the excitement of creating something, seeing it come to life in the way I envisaged. There is nothing better!

Pastel Easter #Etsy

Saw this collection and thought it was gorgeous. Loved the theme and the colours, it looks so pretty. Had forgotten that Easter is creeping ever closer.
So if you don`t buy chocolate, there are other eggs available for Easter, or if not eggs, the pool of gifts widens substantially. I hope you enjoy these gorgeous creations.

Had my grandson again yesterday. He`s getting around on crutches quite well, bless him, but as yet not inclined to put the foot to the floor.
We felted some of the small soap shapes we made the other day and he loved it. He picked out the colours for some to make for his Mum for Mothers Day.
We did some painting and drawing too, though I did more of the painting and he did more of the drawing. I did make quite a bit of mess but had great fun.
Then the rest of the grandchildren came after school for tea. It was noisy, busy and great fun.

Easter eggs and the Easter bunny
always seem, to me, kind of funny.
Why a bunny, is it for spring
to give Easter an added zing?
Hot cross buns, they are yummy
and even better in my tummy.
There`s an Easter egg hunt one day,
I think that`s more about play.
Seems to be more of a family break
where everyone likes to take
the time and effort to get together
regardless of the finicky weather.
Usually four days of family fun
a wonderful break until it`s done!!

Blossom Pink #Etsy

Yesterday was a beautiful day with blue skies and glorious sunshine, a proper spring day, lovely. So of course this collection just fitted well, especially as I saw loads of trees full of blossom on my way home from the city.
I needed some different glue and some double sided tape so I felt a trip out was in order, especially as I could meet a friend for coffee and lunch. The weather was the icing on the cake.
I had even got quite a bit done before I went. Preparing and printing some new artwork. Then I got several beaded glass and jug covers I`d made, photographed. Even got some listings into my WTY shop.
All in all a good and productive day. Especially as when it came to doing this blog I discovered the treasury to blog app was working again. Yay!!

Lot`s of blue sky and sun
from dawn till the day is done.
There is blossom everywhere
drifting along without a care.
Mild, with a gentle breeze
much better than the freeze.
The bird chorus in the morn
singing well before dawn.
The signs are very clear
at long last spring is here.
As we start to see the leaves
then we shed our long sleeves.
Shorts appear on the bold,
I think it`s still too cold.
We`re moving forward at long last
and finally the winter is past!!

The Universe #Etsy

I did this blog today, the old way. I pic at a time, I`d forgotten how time consuming it was.
Two treasury transfer tools I had been using weren`t working for some reason, so though I searched for another, I ended up doing it the long way. Never mind, at least it got done.

Yesterday I was doing a little bit of rearranging in my craft/computer room. All the small steps are adding up.
Had my grandson yesterday, with his broken toe, bless him. He was feeling more lively and getting about with the aid of a crutch.
He wanted to cook, so we made cakes and bread. I also decided to make a batch of soap as I had run out. I was experimenting with small soaps in flower and heart shapes, they came out really well, as well as making some bigger heart shapes, a hexagon, circle and more traditional oblong.
One batch I added grapeseed and lemon essential oils, with lemongrass. The other was grapeseed with lavender essential oils and fresh lavender. In both cases the smaller soaps didn`t have the lemongrass or lavender pieces added.
The house smelt divine.

Galaxies full of stars
planets like Venus and Mars.
A vast array, so diverse
that`s our wondrous universe.
New stars are being born
while we stare, all forlorn
always seeking other life
wondering will it bring strife.
No way that we are alone,
will we find ET on the phone?
Will we like what we find
or will it mess with our mind?
There`s such beauty in the night sky,
those twinkling lights up on high.
Surviving for billions of years
oblivious to wars and tears.
They will still go on
long after we are gone!!
