Hearts #FolksyFriday

Time for this weeks Folksy Friday again and with Valentine`s Day getting closer I thought it would be a good time to show off what`s available in hearts on Folksy. Of course what I`m showing you is just a very small selection of what is actually there on site.
Folksy also have categories at the top of the front page for Valentine goodies. Gifts for Her, for Him and Valentine cards too. As is usual this is only a very small percentage of what is available. Just put Valentine`s into the search and you`ll have hundreds more to choose from.
I was at my daughter`s overnight on Wednesday and Thursday during the day as they were away at the Top Gear show. They arrived home at about 3.15 p.m having had a lovely time but really missing the children who had also missed them.
It was really nice to spend that much time with them and see them in the morning too.
I got busy with my needle felting sculpture later in the evening and made great progress, it`s coming along quite well now. Very enjoyable to seeing it taking shape and looking very much like I envisioned it would. As long as the more detailed work goes well I`ll be all right.

Valentine`s is of the heart
and love is a very good start.
The game of love is a dance
that most hope to get the chance
to find a love and take part in
because finding love is a win, win.
To celebrate this special day
we like to give a card to say
above all others, I love you
and will stick to you like glue.
If you want to buy a special gift
then you will have to be swift.
Most handmade are One of a Kind
and go quite quickly I find.
If you see a gift you find divine
grab it quick, say `that`s mine`.
If you go back later it might be gone
and it`s bound to be the only one.
So off you go, time to shop

XYZ is For ... #Etsy

Here we go with the final letters of the alphabet. Not so much choice with these so doing them all together. Fingers crossed I can find enough categories with the three letters.
I`m actually amazed that I`ve managed to get all the way through. I think it got easier as I went along mainly because I got into the swing of it and got the hang of searching for the categories. Still it is nice to reach the end.
Off to look for categories now and see what crafts are available in the categories.
Quite pleased with that. I have found enough categories from the three to complete the blog and seem to have a good selection in each. Yay!!
So here we go for the final time in this alphabet.
X is for Xylophone. Y is for Yacht, Yellow and Yin Yang. Z is for Zebra and Zodiac.
This morning I shall be at my daughter`s home busily making sure the 4 grandchildren are fed and the older ones ready for school. The youngest I will be looking after at home until his parents return from their night away.
I`m hoping that yesterday evening I will have made great strides with my needle felting sculpture while babysitting.
I`ve prepared this blog on Tuesday knowing I wouldn`t get the chance otherwise with being at work all day and off to my daughter`s straight after tea.

Now finally I`ve come to the last
letters and it seems to have gone fast.
There were times I didn`t think I`d get through
but I persevered with it just for you.
All in all it has been alphabet fun
but I am glad it`s finally done.
Some of the letters were a breeze
others didn`t go with such ease.
The trickiest were these last three
but I managed okay, I think you`ll agree.
For X I could find only one
so I`m glad it`s gone.
Y was easier, could have done more
except Z had to have room on the floor.
Xylophone came first, followed by Yacht
I think you`ll like what I got.
Yin Yang, Zebra, Zodiac and Yellow
all are looking rather mellow.

W is For ... #Etsy

Another scary letter today. What will I manage to find? Today the letter W comes from Etsy.
Have been doing a bit of exploring and surprisingly found quite a few categories for W so that is easily sorted. I also had a little explore for tomorrows blog which should be the last 3 letters together, X, Y and Z. But I think I may have to leave it until Thursday as a much bigger site like Etsy has more possibilities.
More exploring tells me yes, tomorrow I will be skipping the alphabet for a day and finishing the next. Can`t believe I will have got all the way to the end. Amazing!
Time to see what I`ve found for you.
W is for Wedding, Wallet, Watch, White, Whale and Whistle.
I was surprised to get so much for W, didn`t even use all the categories I had and was thinking up more as I went along. It was great.
Yesterday morning I woke up to a few more inches of snow that was getting quite deep in places. It was hard work walking in it but probably very good for me to get the exercise.
I walked to my daughters to babysit the youngest two, all of 5 minutes away and then to the post office when she returned home, to send orders. Admittedly that isn`t far either, just felt like it in the snow.

W was a surprising breeze
got through it all with ease.
Last three letters will be done together
mainly that will depend on whether
I can find more than I think I will
and can get enough to fill

The it`ll be the end. Phew!
It`s been a roller coaster ride
up and down like the tide.
