I is For ... #Etsy

Today we have reached the letter I in the alphabet. Now I am expecting this one to be tricky today. Apart from impala I can`t think of anything usable for this letter. I`m sure there are many that will come to mind the moment I have finished this blog but right now all else deserts me.
I did what I often do and put the letter into the search and came up with several, now to see if I can find anything under those headers. Hmmm .... some fine, some not.
Here we go then. I is for Insect, Impala, Igloo, Ivory, Ivy and Initial.
Well I have learnt something new today. I have discovered that an Impala is also a car, from the pictures I saw it looks old but no idea if it`s still made.
I thought Ink would be a good one but apparently not. I kind of expected pens, quills etc but what came up was mainly inked words. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. A few other words weren`t any good, still I have enough for what I need.

Yesterday was actually sunny!!! All day pretty much, quite amazing. I was busy catching up on housework and getting two loads of washing done and dried outside.
I`ve also been working on my new project and getting very frustrated because it won`t work out as I want it to. I`m so fed up with it that I am considering consigning the lot to the bin.
I have made a bit of headway but considering I`ve been working on it, off and on for weeks, it should be much further advanced. Still hopefully it will come together all at once. Fingers crossed.

The letter I was a tricky one
glad it is done and gone.
Lot`s of ideas to be had
on that part I was glad.
Didn`t translate and couldn`t use
half of them and I refuse
to do less than my best
though it put me to the test.
Finally got there in the end
nearly drove me round the bend.
Dreading reaching X Y and Z
I`ll be trying to stay in bed.
Oh no, there`s Q as well.
Are the ideas likely to gel?
I`ll think about that another day
cos I`m sure I will find a way
to get round the tricky bits
without going into hissy fits.

H is For ... #Folksy

And on with the alphabet, this time with Folksy. Today of course is the letter H.
I am finding it very strange that I can think of loads of subject matter beginning with other letters but whichever letter I am on, I can`t think of anything. Weird.
Okay, here we go, have managed to think of a few. H is for .... Hare, Hat, Hippo, House, Heart and Horse.
Found some great creations for you to browse through today and found shops I`ve never seen before, as I often do. It`s quite an adventure when I follow themes, I`m always finding amazing crafts I`ve never seen before.
Yesterday although the temperature was higher it felt really cold with the blustery wind. It did start dry but by the afternoon it was raining making it an ideal day for crafting. So after a trip to the Post Office I got out my watercolour paints and lost myself for a few hours.. By the time I came to it was the middle of the afternoon.
After that I had another play with my scanner trying to get the settings right for something I am trying to do. I ended up with another big heap of card and paper printed but still not getting the result I want. I can see I`ll end up doing the same again today until I get it right. One part of my project was fine, it was just the larger pictures that wouldn`t come out right. I`ll get there eventually .... I hope.

Today is H of the alphabet
I thought it would be easy and yet
my mind went blank from the start
until I managed to think of Heart.
I thought of Head and Hair
but couldn`t find much there.
Animals were next of course,
I came up with Hare and Horse.
Now I was really getting along,
I thought, but I was wrong.
Next came Hand, but it wasn`t to be
couldn`t find anything you see.
Eventually the brain got into gear
just as I was beginning to fear
I`d have to have the next letter too
to find enough goodies for you.
Hah, I got House, Hippo and Hat.
Ideal for this. How about that?
At the end and I`ve had enough
of looking for all this stuff.

G is for ... #Etsy

Today I think we`ll head back to alphabet land and continue with the theme started before the Christmas festivities. Hard to believe that it`s over already, another memory in the past.
Today it`s the turn of Etsy and the letter G.
I have no idea at all what I will find or even, as yet, what to have for the letter G, so I shall go in search of inspiration.
Hmmm.... let`s see. G is for Golf, Giraffe, Galaxy, Gnome, Guitar and Green. Now I just have to find some creations in those categories.
Well a couple of the categories changed so not bad at all and it didn`t take toooooo long to find them all.
I hope you like my choices and they don`t baffle you too much. Think of it as a puzzle to work out, although you should work out easily which category they all belong to.
Maybe I should have put them all in order.
I had a very enjoyable afternoon playing with one of my new toys. A scanner that scans all sorts of things, so I was playing around testing it and adjusting the settings. Now I have a pile of discarded cardboard and paper, not to mention an empty ink cartridge. Doh!

Today we have the letter G
and I`m hoping that you will see
just what category each will belong
to, that means I didn`t get it wrong.
Really a mug should be M
but it didn`t go with them
instead I used the colour, green
so that today it`s seen.
Now N isn`t for gnome
it`s G and waiting for a home.
The others are what they seem
and that guitar is a dream.
So many yummy treats for you
although maybe there are too few.
I could have gone on adding even more,
such varieties in just one store.
So many shops at the click of a mouse,
to browse through from the house.
So many shops now have extra views
just because it`s hard to choose.
But I finally got it all done
especially for you to have fun!!

Stylish Home #FolksyFriday

Well today it`s back to Folksy Friday and for a nice change I thought I would hunt up some very stylish pieces for your home.
The decor and all those little touches that add up to the finished effect can make all the difference to your living space. It can make your house into a home that you enjoy spending time and relaxing in. Very important in today`s life of constant rush with the the endless bombardment of noise.

Yesterday I took my 13 year old grandson shopping but it was so busy and manic in the city that it was hard work and we had to be back in time for visitors. My brother, sister in law and two of my nephews came to visit and it was wonderful to see them, to catch up etc as we hadn`t had the chance for a while. Life gets so busy that sometimes it can be hard to take the time to make the connections that are so important.
