Embers Grand Finale #Handmade #Folksy

The old month has ended and the new month has begun, so today I am having a final September Embers blog. A Grand Finale. I can`t believe how fast the month has gone. I think the fabulous weather has helped in the last week and of course we were away the week before, enjoying sunshine, when it was chilly here. There have been so many outstanding listings throughout the month, they just seem to get better and better. I shall look at the final day for pics to put on here.
Yesterday I looked after my youngest grandson while my daughter was at work. We went into the city on the bus and luckily it was a double decker so we sat upstairs. He really enjoys going on the bus and I got what I needed for my brothers birthday party last night.
I did of course get the present from Folksy, a beautiful album with his name, age and the date on it. As he enjoys playing the guitar it also had a guitar on the front. The album came from Dottie Designs so I knew it would be fabulous as I bought keepsake boxes from her before and they were stunning.
I will tell you a bit about the party tomorrow as I am doing this blog early because of course I am going to celebrate too.
My grandson had a sleep so he would be able to stay up too and I got crocheting and made another hat and half of a Collar/Scarf, not sure if I could sit and do nothing.
Enough waffle it`s time to start adding pictures and writing some verse.

We went on the bus adventuring,
into the city we were venturing.
Hot though it was we had fun
and both were weary when we were done.
I bought more yarn I confess,
without any duress.
I just wanted more
to sneak in the door
added it to the rest.
buying yarn is the best.
I am using it very fast
so it doesn`t really last.
I making and creating a storm
for me though it`s the norm.
I`m creating so quick,
the yarns gone in a tick.
The ideas are flowing
the made pile is growing
now I have to take time to list,
them everywhere, you get the gist.
It takes so long to do so much
hours I could be crocheting and such.
Over the weekend I`m going to try,
the very thought makes me sigh!

Sunshine #FolksyFriday

Can`t believe it`s Folksy Friday time again already. And to think that this time last week I was still in Switzerland, now it`s seems further away than just last week.
I have no idea what my Folksy Friday is going to be about, I shall have to do what I do best and explore, go looking for inspiration.
Been looking, no ideas yet.. so I`ll do the verse instead and see what happens from that.
That did the trick, sometimes doing things in a different order works well. So today we will have a Sunshine Folksy Friday and why not, after all it`s bright and cheery. So I`ll include crafts with suns or yellow on them.
Yesterday I got more photos done, did a bit on the creative connections site and updated my pages on other sites so that was good. I didn`t get round to adding things to my website, but I did add a couple more draft listings on Folksy.
I also had a good idea about the following weekend when I shall be away. I haven`t had a giveaway for a long time.... a very long time now I think about it, so I shall do one over that weekend, from Friday to Monday. I`ll do a Santa hat as one prize, as seen in my Folksy shop, and not sure yet what the other one will be. I have another festive scarf partly done, so maybe that if it`s finished. If there are alot of entrants I will add another prize too, it only seems fair. All you`ll have to do is leave a message saying you want to take part and follow if you aren`t already doing so. Easy!!
Got a Headband/Earwarmer done yesterday in chunky yarn and started another hat... Really ought to get round to the to finish pile... maybe I`ll take them away with me. Trouble is, it`s more fun and more exciting, creating the new ideas I keep getting. We`ll see.

It was a day so very sunny,
but so hot it wasn`t funny.
The cold is coming, it`s on it`s way,
then we`ll long for yesterday.
A yesterday of warmth and sun
that we`ll long for when summer`s done.
I woke this morning hot and sticky
that sort of heat can be so icky.
Close and humid, sweat running down
it`s enough to make a girl frown.
A simple balance is all I ask
oh nature, is that so hard a task?
Very odd and unseasonable
weather that`s unreasonable.
Now I think I have an idea
of what to put on here.
How about some sunny sunshine
making the most of it being fine.
Anything with yellow or a sun,
yep, I think the theme is done!

Cuddly & Cute #Handmade #Folksy

Tired and weary I was lacking inspiration for todays blog. I looked around and nothing inspired me, no theme presented itself. A very busy nonstop day at work had my brain stuttering. I doodled about answering e-mails, pottered on twitter and looked at the creative connections site. There I got sidetracked remembering that I signed up for a craftfest stall. I wandered about wondering how I was supposed to do it and posted a question to that effect. Another look about and I realised that I was just delaying. I really needed to do this blog.
Then I had a thought, Cute & Cuddly, that would cheer me up, even if no one else was interested. So that was it, theme decided.
As I said, I had a busy day at work yesterday, but did do some crochet before I went, at lunchtime and in the evening. I am doing another scarflet/collar to match the hat I finished the day before. I am just loving this new yarn I discovered. This one is shades of purple, teal and blue, the same yarn as the reds in the scarf/collar, hat and gloves I showed the other day. It looks so pretty and I love the patterns it makes.
I bought a few different ones, so will try to use those up before I buy more. No guarantees though. My trouble is a new yarn sets me off in a whole new direction each time, probably why I find buying yarn so irrisistable. I really must use up the stack I have.... well until the next must have one appears in my sights anyway.
Another thing I have to make the time to do is start listing all the big stack of new creations sitting beside me. The photos are done but I need to decide where they are going and write descriptions and it all takes quite a bit of time. I vote for the politician who brings in 48 hour days, I might start making some headway then.... maybe.
Okay I have waffled on quite enough for now.
