Christmas Decorations #FolksyFriday

I decided to show decorations of the festive kind for my Folksy friday today. Christmas decorations always look so pretty and so... so... well.. christmassy. Sounds daft I know but those who love christmas will know what I mean. There is something about seeing christmas decorations that brings out the kid in me and I start getting quite excited.
Christmas is getting so close but it doesn`t feel like it yet because of the mild weather. But I shall keep putting lots of festive things on here in the coming weeks to help you with your choices for gifts, cards and decorations.
We live such fast paced lives nowadays that time is of the essence, so I shall keep doing my bit to help you save time and of course to bring these wonderful crafters to your attention.
Yesterday my younger daughter returned to Switzerland but it won`t be long now before she and her fiance are back for good.
I was busy preparing a lasagne for tea as the four grandchildren were eating with us. I also got some knitting done for a change of pace. I was trying out an idea for a new design but it was taken out more than it was made. Still, I shall be having another go today and will hopefully get a bit further. I am hoping to get on with my CRAFTfest album over the weekend, adding more and getting descriptions and links sorted. So much to do and so little time.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

The sales fairy went for a drink
she had too many I think.
She might be drowning a sorrow
or two, wondering how much to borrow
to buy all the lovely goodies galore
that she wants and so much more.
She`s gathering her strength and cash
ready to make a mad dash
through every shop on here
whether cheap or very dear.
She knows we`ve been missing her badly
but she`s has been elsewhere, sadly.
But now she`s here and ready to rock
ready to buy up all our stock.
Now she`s off Christmas shopping
and already is hopping
from shop to shop in her quest
to buy up the very best.
So best you come quick to see,
to choose to buy and have a spree
before the fairy has been and gone,
so come fast to get that shopping done!

Hearts & Flowers #Handmade #Folksy

What to have here today, that is the question? So many gorgeous crafts about and easy to get carried away with things that I like, rather than showing what you might like to see. I know the whole thing tends to be biased towards what I like because obviously I go for things that attract my attention, that I like the look of.
If anyone should have an idea they would particularly like to see for a theme please leave a comment and say. I will do my best to carry it out. Not naked men either, as although it would be fun, my daughters or grandchildren may not look at me in quite the same way again.
Okay I am off to have a look now.
Saw a stunning card of quilled flowers, it`s the first one of the pictures and I thought `Hearts and Flowers`. What a good idea for a theme, haven`t done that before I don`t think. There are so many gorgeous crafts with hearts or flowers on that it was tough picking the few I have put on here. Hope you like them as much as I do.
Had a busy day yesterday. My daughter was home from Switzerland for a few days and yesterday we went out and about together which was lovely. A bit of shopping, looking at possible bridesmaid dresses, looking at a flat and lunch out. A lovely day. In the evening I went out to dinner, hubby too, for a friends retirement meal. A lovely time was had by all.
I did get some crocheting done, of course and the newest hat is nearly finished. Another to add sparkle to your day or night.
ENJOY!!!

Flowers are usually loved by all
why they`re given is your call.
Hearts for love is a universal sign
and one that looks very fine.
Flowers on crafts are just the thing
to make your heart want to sing.
So pretty and fresh always looking good
just as the maker intended they should.
Hearts for love should be red or pink,
or at least that`s what I think.
They all look pretty, whatever the gift,
bound to give the recipient a lift.
We have flowers singly or by the bunch,
you`ll be buying for a lady, is my hunch.
Hanging hearts that smell really nice
half a dozen should suffice.
Bags, a soap, a beautiful card,
choosing will be very hard.
A box, a necklace and a needlebook,
can`t hurt to just have a look.
Gorgeous stained glass for your window,
each time you look, it gives you a glow.
Pretty flowers, poppies and roses,
what to choose is the question it poses.
A delicate scarf, so pretty and light,
the wearer would look a beautiful sight.
All here arrayed just for you,
we hope you`ll come closer for a view!

November Nexus #Handmade #Folksy

Today it has to be the new November Nexus daily listing club. What a great name, don`t you think so? As usual, Natalie of NOfkants Curios, is at the helm to keep us going through the month and spur us on.
I was looking through the thread and was amazed at the amount of listings. Lot`s of new faces and some back again from previous listing clubs too. It all makes for a lot of diversity which can only be good. It does make my job harder however, trying to decide what to put on here for you to look through.
Today I tried to include any that are part of this month`s club who missed out yesterday and include as many new folk as possible. I did add extra pics but then gave up on adding any more again as I ran out of time. Especially as I still have the rhyme to think up as yet.
Been at work again yesterday so nothing exciting to report. Although I did finish two hats and started another. Done one in cream, I was going to add earflaps but didn`t and I did one in a Vivid pink sparkly yarn that will certainly get it`s owner noticed. I have just started another in a dark blue yarn with a lurex thread which I think will look stunning. Well I hope so at least.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

October has gone and November is here
winter is on it`s way I fear.
Christmas is just round the corner too
oh dear me, what shall we do.
So much to do and so little time
but enough to do this little rhyme.
Stunning crafts from the November Nexus
will get you right in the solar plexus.
Gorgeus designs to make you yearn
to make you want and make you burn,
with the desire to own many of these
and we say you can, yes please!
Time to hurry and start gift shopping.
time to start thinking and hopping,
from shop to shop in your quest,
we don`t care if you`re in your vest.
That`s the beauty of buying with us
if you`re not dressed, we won`t fuss.
It won`t bother us, we don`t care
if you`re naked even, totally bare.
You do as you please shopping from home
no out of doors in which to roam.
No busy shops and no long queues
no battling an ever shortening fuse.
Just peace and quiet, pleasant and calm,
easy looking, choosing and silent balm!
