Mad March Hares #Handmade #Folksy.

Today it`s the March Hares listing club once more. So many wonderful crafters turning out so many new delightful creations. So don`t forget to go and browse in the shops, especially if you are looking for something special for a gift. Don`t forget too, that Mother`s Day is fast approaching and what better to buy than something that is unique and not mass produced. Anything you buy from Folksy will be well made and far exceed your expectations. I speak from experience as I have bought some amazing things from Folksy, for myself and as gifts. In fact today I took delivery of some stunning items I bought as gifts and wish I didn`t have to part with. As they are personalised though it would be a bit silly.
As ever, to see a bigger picture or a description just click on the item to view it in the shop, then take a little time to browse the shops wonderful treasures.
Had bit of a frustrating day yesterday waiting for a new bathroom suite that never appeared. Delivery Friday I was told, Fine, I agreed. What time? Can`t give a time, just between 9 and 5.
I got quite annoyed with the store about the non appearance. The upshot of it all was that I should finally get my new bathroom suite today. Fingers crossed!! To be fair, they were very helpful and apologetic and went out of their way to re-arrange it to suit us.

Yesterday I sat and waited all day
a knock, open the door, no way!
A delectable parcel I was waiting for
but it wasn`t the knock I wanted at the door.
Then a call came, `About your delivery tomorrow`
I was feeling rage more than sorrow.
Today I insisted, `I only call` was his reply
I did much more than merely sigh.
I called up the store and they tried to help
The girl put the wrong date, `What!` was my yelp.
Finally they arranged after three in the afternoon
so hubby is home, pray it doesn`t arrive too soon.
My new bathroom suite will be a day late
the day didn`t start well, it was obviously fate.
I so rarely have problems like this in my life
I`ve got out of the habit of dealing with strife.
There is an up side of all of this
I had lots of time for crocheting bliss.
As good as meditation at calming the mind
creating is so soothing I always find.
I finished some lacy gloves in raspberry pink
and a wrap that`s already a winner I think.
The lacy pattern I was all my invention
I like to be different, not stick with convention.
The pattern has been very much admired,
my daughters approbation now has me all fired
up to do more and try different stitches
the job that doesn`t come without hitches.
It`s great though cos I love what I do
inventing new wonderful creations for YOU!

#Bags Galore #Folksy Friday

Decided to have a Bag themed Folksy Friday today as it was popular when I did one a while back. Can`t believe how quickly it`s come round again. I found some amazing bags of all types, some for children, some really cute and some more practical like gift and lavender bags. I know I say it a lot but it never ceases to amaze me how many shops there are and what an amazing array of goods they have. I am always coming across shops I have never seen before. Some are new shops but others are clearly well established shops. Everyday is certainly an adventure when I do this blog.
As usual, to see a larger picture or a description of any item, just click on the picture of your choice to go directly to the item in situ.
ENJOY! (I did)

The call of the wild is in us all
it can hold us in it`s thrall.
To be wild and able to run free
is better than any shopping spree.
If the weather`s bad and you can`t go out,
well what now, do I hear you shout?
Well then it`s okay to go and see
whats new in store on fabulous Folksy.
Every day lots of us add something new
just hoping you will come and view
the wonderful creations we work hard on
hoping you will see them and buy one.
Tried hard to think what should I do
what is very interesting for you.
Thought long and hard about what to show
my brain went into overdrive you know.
The pressure built up, steam was coming out
then a thought occurred to me, what about
a great selection of bags on display?
Would that make you happy on this Friday?
We all love bags in any shape or form
whether mass produced or different from the norm.
Teeny tiny ones or ones that hold the lot
a purse or suitcase size can be equally hot!
Plain or patterned, bland or bright
we have them for day and one for night.
Whatever type you like, whatever you seek
why not visit Folksy, if only for a peek!

#ART for ALL #Handmade #Folksy

I was busy looking through the listing club thread and viewing everyones listings, unsure what to put on todays blog. Should it be bags, things of one colour or a different theme altogether. It was as I viewed and mused, that I came a cross an ACEO of poppies and that decided me. There was something about this particular painting that really drew me. It caught the eye with it`s colours and beauty and that was it. Then I really noticed all the other ACEO`s and pictures on the thread. I had been viewing, without really seeing and that picture stopped me in my tracks. I hope you enjoy the art I have chosen today.
AS usual, to see a larger picture or a description, just click on the picture and you will be taken the that piece of art in the shop.
ENJOY!

Couldn`t decide what to do today,
I thought of art, it might make me play
with my paints and get my inspiration back.
When I don`t paint or draw I feel the lack.
It takes me away to a wonderful place
where I work at my own slow pace.
Where, oh where, has my mojo gone
is that it, is my painting done?
I just haven`t felt the urge in an age,
can`t even put pencil or pen on a page.
A time without art is so very bad
I came to it late, so it makes me sad,
to no longer have this burning need
and no ideas, not even a single seed.
What should I do and where should I go
to find inspiration, to make it flow.
What do ther artists do when this occurs
does your irritation stick like burrs.
I can no longer go on the Aceo thread
it reminds me that my painting is dead.
It`s hard to see the paintings emerge
and I still don`t feel a single urge.
I will display pictures done weeks ago
just so that I have something to show.
I think I`ll stop fretting for a while
I`ll ignore the paints with a smile.
I am very sure I will paint again,
at the minute I just don`t know when!
