June Bugs #Handmade #Folksy.

Saturday today and this will be for the June Bugs listing club. For those that don`t know, it`s a daily listing club on Folksy that has been running for over a year. Each month it has a different name and though some folks taking part are the same there are different ones too. It all makes for a great variety and diversity of crafts for you to view and buy.
There are 3 of my items today as my new listings haven`t appeared here due to the theme blogs, There would have been 4 but a pink baby blanket sold and so won`t make it`s debut here today.
By now I will be in Milton Keynes talking up a storm as we catch up on all the news since my last visit. Although the last time I saw my Stepmother she came here. It was April and we were having two birthday celebrations for a 60th and a 30th. Then my daughter got engaged to a wonderful young man on her birthday so it was a triple celebration. We all had such a wonderful time, it was brilliant.
So I will be talking and crocheting like mad and will come home on Monday with lot`s of new creations to photograph and put on Folksy and my website.
It`s great because we have so much in common and love the same things. She is also interested in what I am doing with the shop and websites and we talk about that too. We also toss ideas around for new things to make and lots of new ideas are sparked that way too. It will be a very creative weekend.

even when they put you to the test.

although I wouldn`t mind more to flash.

#Dragons. #FolksyFriday

Folksy Friday once more, another week gone too quickly. Still I`ll be off on the train later today to visit family. Just me going as hubby stays home, someone has to go to work after all.
I saw some gorgeous dragons while I was looking for yesterdays blog and decided then to have them on here today. They looked so fabulous that I couldn`t resist. All together they do make a stunning display, if I do say so myself. I am very tempted to get one myself. There is just something about them, or maybe that`s just me.
Well, yesterday I was preparing all the weekends blogs for you to enjoy. A quick visit to the supermarket and a bit of time with my grandson a first and then it was nose to the grindstone to make sure they all got done. Also, I was busy planning which yarns to take away with me, as I get lot`s of crocheting done while I`m away.
My head has been buzzing with ideas of what to make, for now and the winter season ahead. That`s because I have some new yarns and going through them in my head deciding what should travel too, had ideas popping up all over the place.

It`s Folksy Friday once again
and I`ve been huddled in my den.
Working out what to put on here
must be something good that`s clear.
I try to put on things you`ll like
can`t have you going on strike.
I like to have you visit my blog
and don`t mind if you clog
up the system because so many view
what I`ve put on here for you.
I like handmade cos it`s the best
so much better than the rest.
Always great quality and style
so much better by a mile.
Now I`m on my hobby horse
touting handmade of course.

most folks do it would seem.
I really do try you know
but sometimes themes don`t flow.
Don`t worry I haven`t given up hope

Myth & Magic #Handmade #Folksy

I need a Thursday theme! Actually that goes quite well together, Thursday Theme, it sounds good. Now I just need to find something that matches that.
Hah! I found something wonderful to have as a theme. Myth and Magic. All sorts of great craft items with magical themes behind them. Wizards, hobbits, fairies and unicorns to name a few. I hope you enjoy them. I suppose it couldn`t really have been anything else with the rhyme. That came first today, although it does vary. Sometimes it doesn`t appear until I have finished putting things on here.
Had a busy day with my youngest grandson. We had a little trip into the city and visited a couple of toy shops while we there. He had an ice cream and there was hardly any mess, bless him. He is only 2 yrs old. He`s always so good, stays close, holds my hand and walks well, rarely wants to be picked up and soon insists on walking again if he does.
The 12 yr old went fishing with his uncle after school, his first time, so I`m hoping he got on okay. Will ask after school today. Fishing isn`t everybody`s cup of tea, not sure I would like it. I could do the sitting and gazing out over the water and would happily sit and crochet, just couldn`t pull in a fish or reel in, whatever. Don`t get me wrong, I like to eat fish I just wouldn`t want to catch it myself and see it looking at me imploringly. Mind you, I wouldn`t like it if it was cold either. I do like my home comforts, not much of a roughing it girl. I use the term `girl` loosely. Inside I`m still a girl, it`s the outside that lets me down. Not that I really care, I`m happy as I am.
Oh my goodness, look at that I`ve been waffling on and forgetting myself.

The moon behind the tree, hung low
it had a very strange orange glow.
It seemed to glitter through the tree
as though it was trying to get free.
The moon hold such a fascination
maybe because it`s part of creation.
I love to stand and stare
mainly because it`s there.
It affects the tides, the tug and pull
and most of all when it is full.
It can affect how people feel too
does it do the same for you?
It can affect the way we sleep
others, it can make them weep.
Yet still we love that ball of light
when it`s a full moon, a wonderful sight.
Copuples whisper sweet nothings below
concious only of love`s grand flow.
Me, I love the way the world turns bluey white
the way it changes things, can give a fright.
But mostly it glows that ghostly light
brightening up the darkest night.
I just love to see it anytime
I love including it in my rhyme!!

#Butterflies #Handmade #Folksy

Wednesday... Yippee. That`s my working week over. I was feeling a bit brain dead after some busy days at work, couldn`t think what to put on here for a change. Then came that light bulb moment and I was off. Butterflies have always been a favourite of mine, my two daughters love them too. I had seen several butterfly creations on Folksy but when I put it into the search, well.... more than I could possibly put on here in a month. So many fabulous listings, this is just the tip of the iceberg, as they say. I hope you enjoy the beautiful butterflies on show today. Nothing of mine as I don`t have any butterflies in my shop.
I am intending to try and make a few video tutorials, but I`ve been so busy, I haven`t had a chance yet. When I do I shall be putting them on my website. @http://uniquelyyours2010.weebly.com/.
I intend to start with basic crochet first and then move on to more stitches, followed by ringlets that I use as ties. The ringlets are lovely as they always spring back into shape however much you tie them and they look pretty too. Hopefully I will get a chance over the weekend to have a go at that. Are you feeling Wednesday woe,
does the weekend seem a way to go?
Me, I`m feeling on a high
no work for a week, a happy sigh!
Lot`s of people here and there,
simply people everywhere.
Phones all going like mad too
starting to feel like a zoo.
A lovely sunny day outside
and indoors I had to bide.
I think sods law was made for me
2 days of sun while I worked you see.
Now the weather forecast says
we are in for cold and rainy days.
Well I only work part time I suppose
and thats just the way it goes.
Not really hard done by you know
I`m mostly in the crafting glow.
I wandered in search of inspiration
looking for a special creation.
Eureka moment, butterflies it is
sometimes my brain is a whiz.
I love butterflies, they call to me
a very big weakness, you see.
