Pale Blue #Etsy

There was a colour challenge on the Craftyfolk team and the choice was pale blue, so I took odd items from different treasuries and added one or two. I thought they all looked so pretty and springlike.

With the Easter school holidays starting, we went food shopping yesterday to stock up. It was definitely a major stock up and took most of the morning. After that it was cooking to prepare tea ready for the influx of grandchildren.
Had avisit from my sister in law, was lovely to see her while she was in Norwich, great to have a catch up.
I didn`t do any work on my website. I think I`m putting it off, since I made some changes and lost them. I think I may well start the whole thing again from scratch.
Sometimes it`s easier than keep trying to put it right when it`s gone wrong.

I do like to see some blue,
especially if it`s sky too.
Right now it`s missing
and I am left wishing
to see blue sky and sun
this greyness is no fun.
Today it`s more of a mist,
it has us gripped in it`s fist.
It seems to be a pollution cloud
and just shouldn`t be allowed.
We need wind to blow it away,
don`t want it back another day.
Ah ha I can see a bit of a blow,
lets hope that away it will flow!!

In the Garden #Etsy

This was a treasury I did for the Craftyfolk Scavenger Hunt Challenge. The previous weeks winner chooses a selection of words and the hunters have to make a treasury from it.
As you can see the words were all garden related in some way. It`s fun to do and nice to take part in the challenges.

I was up before the dawn yesterday and busy doing listings and shop stuff, e-mails etc. Then we took the youngest grandsons to school. Not often we get the chance to do that so it was really nice.
I was busy playing noughts and crosses with them both before we left. I think I lost more than I won with both of them. Oh dear.
Then it was off out to the city to do some errands and meet a friend for coffee ..... and lunch too. An enjoyable day.

In the garden what do we find?
It`s some insects that I mind.
Ladybirds are kind of cute,
the odd owl quite a hoot.
Butterflies are stunning,
spiders so lovely, I`m funning.
Don`t like spiders or ants,
slugs and greenfly are pants.
Don`t like nettles they sting
love to see birds on the wing.
So many colours with all the flowers
helped to grow by all the showers.
Love the different shades of green,
love it when the garden looks clean.
Lawn all neat, no weeds in sight
looking beautiful at summers height!!

Exploding Colour #Etsy

Had rather a busy day yesterday! Yes I know it`s shocking and so unexpected.
I had another go at my website, but lost the changes I`d just made and gave up in frustration.
Then my niece got sent home from school as she was under the weather and came to me while her mum went to work and we did crafty stuff which she enjoyed.
Just before she arrived my granddaughter appeared because it was noisy at her place with my hubby doing bathroom alterations. Plus she couldn`t use the bathroom.
Poor soul has been very unwell this week with a cold type virus that had her running quite a temperature and feeling really grotty.
Later in the afternoon I was off for a walk to pick the youngest two grandsons up from school.

All the colours of a rainbow
an explosion full of flow.
So beautiful and bright
an outstanding sight.
What more could we ask
except to delight and bask
in this wondrous pleasure
bringing joy beyond measure
of this colour in all it`s glory
starting a stunning new story.
Colour takes away the drab
brings us back to the fab.
Lifts us to a heady height
it`s a bringer of light.
Think of this colour as a gift,
I hope it brings a wondrous lift!!

Greens of Spring #Etsy

Was doing this in a bit of a rush last night.
Have been very busy working on my website a good part of the day.
Then it was lovely to go and pick the youngest two grandchildren up from school. It was nice to get outside and away from the computer for a while.
So I decided to do tea before I got back to it and after we`d eaten my sister and niece popped round for a chat. It was great to see them, but the time went far too quickly.
Then I made a start back on the computer and my brother arrived which was also great. So that was a catch up chat and he happily waited while I wrapped my daughters birthday gifts so he could take them to London for her as he is going at the weekend. Result.
So it`s been brilliant and wonderful to catch up. Fabulous end to the day!

It was a race against time
trying hard to do a rhyme.
Total blank in my brain
couldn`t kick start it again.
Over did it on the website
staying focussed was a fight.
But then the time went too fast
and the focus didn`t last.
My brain just got over heated
and my rear from being seated
far too long in concentration
but ended mostly in celebration.
Got lot`s done, still more to go
I`ll give it time, go with the flow!!
