Alot of the shops seem to be a bit quiet at the minute on Folksy and someone asked where the sales fairy had gone. I couldn`t resist responding with a quick rhyme just for fun and then I thought, why not put it on here, so I did.
Anything that saves a bit of time at the minute is a bonus with the wedding so close and getting closer by the minute.
These wonderful creations have all come from the lovely sellers on the Etsy website. As I write this I`m not quite sure whether there will be a theme or not. I would say that I`ll add whatever catches my eye but I know that sometimes a theme presents itself regardless of my best intentions.
No theme presented itself or took over, I added beautiful creations that made me linger over them because they looked so great.
Yesterday I took the four grandchildren into the city on the bus. I had some things I had to do and then we, of course, had to visit poundland their favourite shop. After that we had some lunch before returning home.
Then the bridesmaids were all having their nails done in preparation for the big day. After that a visit to the seamstress for the last dress to be turned up. Couldn`t be done before as this bridesmaid had come all the way from China to participate. This bridesmaid is also Best Woman too an important part of the wedding as it is due to her that the happy couple met in the first place.

Have you gone on a long vacation
maybe stopped off at a way station?

sorry I missed the phone when it rang.

Perhaps a cupboard door closed on you
and thats why the sales are few.
You might be trapped and wasting away
desperately wanting to come out and play.
But no you have much magic
so it can`t be anything tragic.
In my shop you haven`t been seen
for over a month, please don`t be mean.
Come back and I`ll forgive anything
I even promise not to sing.
I know that on Etsy you are busy
twirling and whirling, so fizzy.
Dashing around from shop to shop
catching one and all on the hop.

Little People #Etsy

I had barely thought about what to put on here when I began having a look on Etsy. Then before I knew it I was adding all manner of gorgeous baby items. I had half decided to make this an assorted blog with no particular theme but the theme chose me instead. Once half the pictures had become filled with baby items I realised that the entire blog could be for little people. To be honest I don`t think I`ve done a baby blog for quite a while so it probably is about time.
Trouble is once I start looking there are so many gorgeous things that I want to buy them all and right now there is no baby in the family. The youngest grandchild is 3 yrs old and very insistent that he is a big boy.
Yesterday I was busy....ish. Washing, shopping etc. Then doing catch up computer stuff before finally getting to some crafting for a while. I finished the red and peurple ruffled scarves for an order, which was great. My grandaughter popped in to visit with her boyfriend for a while which was nice. The day before she popped in with a couple of friends to visit, must be half term.
My hubby has been making a post box for the wedding for all the cards to go in so none get lost, now I just have to cover it. I`ll be looking for some nice paper today.

Babies are so cuddly and cute
the faces they pull, quite a hoot.
It always seems quite a while
waiting for the first smile.
The way they move and start to wriggle
the joyous sound of the first giggle.
Whether you have a boy or girl
those first few months are quite a whirl.
Each milestone feels like a prize
as daily they grow in size.
Cute curls and cherubic cheeks
bely the havoc baby wreaks.
Soon they begin to roll
wanting more is the goal.
Crawling is next, then pulling up
nowhere`s safe to leave a cup.
Toddling before you know it,
chasing round keeps you fit.
Put your own childish head on
because this time will soon be gone.
Re learn how to have fun and play
as they teach you more every day.
Baby and child have much give
they remind us how to really live!!

Something Fishy #Handmade #Folksy

Hmm... What to have today, that is the question and what`s more, where from? I really cannot decide, inspiration seems to have deserted me at the minute. I shall have to go and have a wander and see what I find. maybe I will have a mix of sites, that would be different I suppose, just a random sampling maybe? I will give it some thought.
I saw a fish ACEO on Folksy, it`s the first picture and then wondered if there were many fishy crafts. I have never had fish on here before, well not all fish, and I wondered if I could find enough fish in a variety of crafts to fill this blog.
Well, once I searched I was amazed. Who would have thought there were so many? I`m still reeling! A quick scroll few the first pages and I was hooked! Get it? That`s me trying to be witty and very likely failing. Don`t think I`ll make a comedian somehow.
Anyway, I digress. There were about 82 pages under fish so I knew I had scored a hit, Yay!! Hope you enjoy these fishy choices I`ve made today. If they aren`t to your taste, then pop along to the shops as they all have more fabulous delectable creations in them.
Yesterday.... hmmm.... let me think. Bit of housework, a trip to the shops and out for a delicious long lunch. It was a carvery at the local pub and I ate so much I could have rolled home. I didn`t really want the dessert but felt obliged to have one out of politeness. Well the others might not have had one if I didn`t..... Okay okay, once they were having one I just had to force one down too. Tough job but someone has to do it.
Yesterday was actually milder, the sun came out too for a while, although it did get windy as well. Could this be the beginning of the end for winter? One can but hope.

Winter eased it`s wicked grip
and finally stopped cracking the whip.
The temperature rose to a heady seven
we thought we were in Spring heaven.
The sun shone, the snow began to melt
and finally, at last we felt
winter might be fading away.
Had it finally had it`s day?
So when I saw a fish ACEO
a lightbulb began to glow.
Fisherman adorning river banks
would very likely give thanks
for the much gentler touch of spring
though I doubt that they will sing.
Me, I like the fish on here
and these didn`t die it`s clear.

all sorts of colours and size.

choosing a favourite will be hard.
