Roses #Handmade #Folksy

Roses today. Roses always look so gorgeous, whether in bud or full bloom. Didn`t realise quite how popular they are until I started looking. Looking through I did wonder if there was going to be much variety and then I unearthed lots of fabulous things. I do like to have a variety of goodies for you to see on here. Wouldn`t want it to get boring.
What did I do yesterday. Ahh... I was making some more christmas hats. I know... don`t groan... I`m just getting prepared for next season. I finished two other things off. Yay!! And.. I intend to finish some more. Well, I`ll try. There are some new ideas buzzing around in my head. If only the weather improves I can get some more creations photographed. I`m getting quite a pile now of things to put into draft on the shop and to add to the website. Time is the thing. There is never enough time. between updating the websites and shops and promotion work it`s a wonder I get anything made.
I went to the cinema with the middle two grandchildren in the afternoon. We saw Mr Popper`s Penguins, it was great, very funny. Naturally we had to eat too much popcorn and drink fizzy drink. Well the youngest didn`t drink fizzy, he had a fruit shoot with his popcorn. We did have fun. The only trouble is you see all these trailers for other films that you feel you really must see.

I love to see them looking so pretty,
it`s almost enough to make me witty.
No, don`t groan, there`s no chance of that,
I`m not witty, but keep it under your hat.
A bag charm, earrings and a teddy,
come on, come on, get yourself ready.
What we have is goodies galore,
all with roses and so much more.
A bracelet, a mask and a gift box,
even something to wear upon your locks.
Bouquets, a jug, a mirror and a dish,
what would you have if you could make a wish.
Oven gloves, a wreath and a bird cage,
so much choice and all on one page.

Green #FolksyFriday

Folksy Friday again already. I was wondering what to do as a theme and thought maybe we should have green today. I have done other colours but not sure if I`ve ever done green. Takes too much time to scroll through all the posts to check, so I won`t.
So we`ll have Glorious Green on display. Not sure yet what I will find but it will be fun looking. It`s actually quite handy because I keep an eye out for things that would be a great gift for a birthday or.... christmas.. This way I get to see a lot more than I normally would because I am looking at various themed items too. As I don`t usually go on Folksy much during the day I do miss a ot of new listings that appear and not everyone puts them on the forum threads. In fact it`s quite a small percentage that do. Here I am a year on
and still finding shops I have never seen before and I`m not talking about new shops. These are shops that have obviously been there a long time and sold loads, so it is easy to miss all sorts of things. I could sit on here all day but I wouldn`t get anything made which in turn would make all this a bit pointless. I need crafting time too.
I`m hoping that before too long this strong wind we have been having will die down so I can actually get some photos done. I have been busy making some more christmas hats too, as well as other things, so it would be nice to show them on here.

Handmade Treasures #Folksy

Think I will have a spree and wander through Foklksy unearthing treasures for you delectation.
Found some lovely items for you today. I scroll through all the new listings fairly fast and it`s the ones that catch my eye that make it on to here. Not sure why each of these does. It could be the colour, or that it`s something different to what we normally see. I must admit I`m always looking out for things that are different to show on here. I also like to put a variety on here not just all the same type of thing. If I do a theme I do my best to find a variety of goods within that theme to keep it interesting.
Yesterday I was at work and we went out to the local pub for a drink last night with both my daughters to make the most of the last evening that my younger daughter would have with us for a while. Today she is going back to Switzerland but she will go quite happy, having finally managed to get some vital things sorted for their wedding in February. It is sad but we will be visiting her in September which isn`t very long, the time will soon go. And thanks to technology I see her and chat via the computer regularly.

Children are a very special gift
we look and through our genes we sift.
Do they have that one or this
lets hope that one got a miss.
We look for likeness as a baby
look so hard and think that maybe,
that nose, that mouth is like mine
oh isn`t that so very fine.
They each take the best from us
and continue to grow without a fuss.
Each an amazing miracle of life
wish it could be without the strife.
Without the downs there wouldn`t be ups
no overflowing of our loving cups.
The special times that really thrill
that make worthwhile every spill.
The grow up and slowly grow away
straining for independance one day.
Then they are gone, there`s an empty nest
and you realise you`re not ready to rest.
You find a challenge and start anew
because staring at the walls is not for you.
There`s a whole wide world waiting out there,
challenges, excitement and fun to share.
It`s not just for the youngsters anymore
us older ones too, know what life is for!
