Can you believe it`s the start of a new month already?
Yesterday wasn`t too bad weather wise, to start with.
I had to go into the city to get a few things I needed and meet a friend for lunch and it stayed dry.
I went in with my granddaughter and she helped me in my quest until it was time for her to go to work. At the moment she has Fridays free in her Sixth form education, so she works if needed. As she is saving hard for her driving lessons, car and car insurance, she is glad of any work she can get.
I found some paper I needed, wasn`t such a good idea to buy it so early on as it was rather heavy. I bought some cord and some card too, job done. Then we went for lunch and sat talking for nearly two hours, as if we hadn`t been talking non stop from the time we met up.
Ah well, you know what they say...... It`s good to talk. Must say I do it very well and a lot every chance I get.
The rain began while I was on the bus home..... Sigh!!

It`s raining again, the river`s rising,
the tide is in, so it`s not surprising.
Bit by bit it slowly creeps higher
in the background, the cathedral spire.
So far it hasn`t burst it`s banks
and for that we give grateful thanks.
There are many homes alongside and nearby,
that will be hoping the weather turns dry.
Day after day and week after week,
the grey skies continue to leak.
I wonder if it will ever go away,
how soon to return on another day?
A few weeks dry and they`ll say drought.
Could it really be? What`s that all about?
Mother Nature is oh so contrary
we just need a good weather fairy!!
