Orange Zest #FolksyFriday

I saw a fabulous collection in apricot and had a look under apricot then tried orange and loved the bright zestiness in the oranges so have decide to go with that for my Folksy Friday.
It seems to be the right time of year for orange with mostly bright summer days at the minute as well as real warmth.
I missed doing a Folksy friday last week as I was away enjoying myself in Northumberland, so it`s nice to be doing one again this week. Doesn`t take long for everything to get back to normal. As soon as you are home and you get started on the washing that`s it. Not to mention going back to work and getting back into the routine of daily listing and blogging. My holiday seems a long way away now.
I haven`t manged to get any more photographing done yet but I have been preparing drafts of new items that I photographed the other week. Where does the time go?
I`m still doing lots of crochet although I didn`t do much in my week off, just finished a scarf and made 3 hats. The christmas items are coming along nicely. I shall make a batch and then do the finishing etc before taking pics and listing. The way things are going it could be another month before you see them. I seem to be getting so behind with everything.
Never mind it will all come right in the end.

Shoe Heaven! #Etsy

After a busy day at work I just couldn`t think what to have on here. I sat staring at the screen my mind a complete blank. I had a wander through Etsy without luck, no theme came to mind.
My thoughts wandered to my daughters and instantly shoes popped into my head, mainly because they both love shoes so much. So then I wondered if their would be any shoes or things that were shoe related. I shouldn`t have been surprised but I was, there were so many and all so different. I could have gone on adding for several pages. However, I managed to restrain myself otherwise you might be looking through for days and have a major sensory overload.
See how good I am? Just thinking of you all the time. Mind you there was also the fact that I would have been sitting here all night to get it done.
You won`t believe it... but.... I am making... ta da.... drum roll.... Those with a bah humbug personality should look away now...... for Christmas. Ha ha.. I said that very naughty word. I have to say that I am not the only one. I have seen lots of Christmassy items popping up all over the place. Will probably be a week or so till I start listing them. Very likely take at least that long for me to get them finished and photographed.
They will have to join the queue of things already waiting and I still have to find the time to start listing the things I have photographed. A few 48 hour days should get it done.

Man`s Best Friend #Etsy

Back off holiday now, as you can see and still with a penchant for stating the obvious.
Had a great holiday staying with wonderful family in Northumberland. We crammed a lot into the days we were there and sadly still missed so much, unfortunately we couldn`t stay longer. Before going we had family celebrations, enjoyable evenings with more family and just a brilliant time altogether, whether home or away. I shall put more, with photographs, into Saturdays blog for those that are interested.
For today I am playing catch up. My visitors went home yesterday afternoon and then it was time to think about returning to normality.
I caught up on treasury making for the Crafty Folk team. The weekly featured shop one and the treasury making competition. As it would make life a little easier I decided to put the first one I made on here, which is a treasury for the featured shop of the week. For this one we can choose any item from the chosen shop to build a treasury around. There were already so many great treasuries already done which made it a bit harder to decide what to use.

I`ve been on my travels, now I`m back
trying to find motivation I lack.
Had such a great time relaxing
lifting a wine glass was the most taxing
thing that I had to do each day
that and having time to play.
Sightseeing in a wondrous landscape
a sensory overload a great escape.
Castles and villages so fine,
a fabulous time that was mine.
Rolling hills, some very steep
shame it didn`t help me keep
fit because I was quite lazy
gazing at distant hills so hazy.
Wandering sheep dotting the hillside
as each day we went for a ride
through glorious countryside to drink our fill
of each fabulous sight over every hill.
Now I`m back home with the urge to shirk
all that must be done, called work!!
