Get Fruity #Etsy

Caught sight of some fruit and it made me think of summer. With the sunny and mild weather we`ve been having I want the `maybe summer`s here` feeling to stay.
So that`s why we are getting fruity today.

Now yesterday I did quite a lot and yet nothing of what I intended. Although to be honest that really shouldn`t surprise you, or me come to that.
Yet I live in hope of making a plan for the day and sticking to it.
I did get through a lot and I mean a lot of housework. I had intended to work on my website but got waylaid with tidying up other sites.
I found that I was adding new title pictures to various pages and new avatars. The trouble was the time it took me to make them first.
Well I suppose I can blame it on the spring. It is after all a time of cleansing and renewal, of getting rid of the old and bringing in the new.

we`re getting on a happy ride.
Ignore the grouches and scowls
and the moans, groans and howls.

Fun!! #Etsy

Unsure what to have for today I decided to try an experiment and put FUN into the search and see what came up.
Some things that appeared didn`t look anything out of the ordinary but I liked the look of others.
What do you think, are these to be classified as fun? I thought so and thought you might like them too.

Yesterday I had my grandsons as my daughter and son in law were working and it is the Easter school holidays. I do enjoy spending time with them, it`s great to see things from a child`s perspective, the world is a different place.
We had an adventure walk after playing with some building toys, a play on the trampoline and a visit to the cinema. We all had great day and the film we saw was funny, Rio 2. So they went home happy bunnies. Bless them.

Would it be gardening in the sun?
Maybe a long adventurous walk,
with a companion, enjoying a talk.
Going to the gym is that your thing
or having lessons in how to sing?
No one`s idea of fun is the same,
though for many it comes from a game.
Sometimes I think it`s fun to cook
at others better to read a book.
It`s fun to bounce on the trampoline,
though I`m careful not to be seen.
The grandkids they think it`s great
although I haven`t done much of late.
We should all have fun every day
in whatever we feel is the best way!!!

Easter Delights #Etsy

Can`t believe how close Easter is getting now. So I thought I had better make some Easter blogs for you to enjoy. There are so many amazing alternatives to chocolate eggs, the only problem you have is what to choose. Hope you like my choices.

Yesterday I met a good friend for lunch in the city as it was her birthday. We didn`t do much else apart from having coffee first, after visiting the Post Office, a quick trip to a clothes shop and then onto a long lazy lunch with lot`s of chat and laughter.
Most enjoyable. I should have that sort of day more often.

Take Flight #Etsy

Saw a couple of butterflies and thought how nice it would be to have wings and winged creatures for a change.
I`ve done all butterflies before. Not sure if I`ve done all birds or not, but regardless I thought it would be good to have a variety of wings.

Yesterday was a miserable day. It started off wet, then looked promising for a while as it dried out and started to brighten. Then it just poured. Reminded me of all those heavy bouts of winter rain. Still it is April, so we have to expect showers. The trouble is ours come all at once in a deluge.
Still it was an ideal day for getting stuck into the website I`m building. I`ve been getting on well with it but it`s the time consuming part now of loading all the pictures and doing the write ups on everything.
Only about a hundred or so to go. It could take a while.

I just love to see a butterfly
as it delicately flutters by.
The dragonfly on iridescent wing
the way some wings seem to sing.
The birds the way they swoop and fly
wheeling and soaring in the sky.
The morning chorus before dawn
a wonderful way to greet the morn.
The busy little bees buzzing along
on tiny wings that are so strong.
We even have a little duck
maybe it will bring us luck.
We also have fairy wings today
makes you want to go and play.

Gift Sets Galore #Etsy

I`m not sure if I have ever done just gift sets before, but it seemed like a good idea. After all, in much of the world there is still Mothers Day to come, new babies are being born, birthdays are coming and going and special occasions galore are happening everywhere.
So it seemed like a plan. Hope you like it too.

I decided to do a Sunday lunch yesterday, for my eldest brother, sister in law and younger daughters in laws, who have become good friends.
A big roast with all the trimmings seems too much of an effort for just the two of us, but it`s good to do if there are going to be more of us.

Here comes the sun
the night is done.
Setting the world on fire
with it`s daily desire
to cast away the night
and bring us the light.
Very slowly it does appear
not in a rush, that`s clear.
Turning everything softly gold
a sight that never gets old.
The sun touches a little bird
then another, followed by a third.
The warmth makes them preen
unaware that they`ve been seen.
Now the light turns bright
the dawn a wonderful sight!!
