Saturday Selection #Handmade #Folksy

This lovely Saturday selection comes from the fabulous shop sellers who have favorited my shop. As a way of saying thank you, I am working my way through them and showing an item from each on here. Now you only get to see the one item but each shop has so much more to offer, so if you have a little time why not go and browse the shops. If nothing else you will have an enjoyable time and you could find some ideal gifts for upcoming celebrations.
Yesterday I was busy getting ready for the weekends festivities. Actually doing some housework that included tidying away all my yarn and projects on the go. I don`t mean to do it, but gradually more and more bags of yarn and half finished projects find their way downstairs. It`s okay when it`s just us but not a good look if others are visiting. Well actually I don`t mind it being there but hubby objects to the messy look. Can`t say I blame him, we can`t leave it all about. Not to mention that it`s good for it to go away for a couple of days as it prevents the heap getting even bigger.
Really must get round to finishing more things.

Yesterday I cleared away
the debris of many a day.
My bags of yarn and crochet hook
being messy is not a good look.
It is in bags I must admit
but beside the sofa it doesn`t fit.
It kind of bulges, half on show
doubt if it helps a feng shui flow.
The bags are full of half finished projects
they will be good they aren`t rejects.
Some just need a button or two,
don`t like sewing, I wish I could glue.
But the buttons and joins must sewn
and the pile gets bigger, the time has flown.
Each day I mean to finish a few
there`s always too much else to do.
I could probably fill another shop
if I finished more, it`d be full to the top.
I can`t be the only one to work this way,
if I only had more hours in the day!

#Purple and Blue #FolksyFriday.

A Purple and Blue theme for this Folksy Friday today. Purple is my favourite color but I love blue too. I`ve just had a giggle to myself as I have just realised that spectacular bruises are often purple and blue. Well we haven`t got any bruises, at least I don`t think so. Can`t be sure as I am writing this before going to look for delectable goodies in these colours. It makes a nice change to have a colour theme. I posted a thread on the Folksy Forum asking to see any Blue and Purple items and there were so many that I think I will have to do more of them during sometime next week.
Was quite busy yesterday, going to the supermarket and the city, a little bit of babysitting, some housework and computer work too. I am also preparing my blogs a head of time for the weekend as I shall be busy celebrating birthdays and an engagment. Should be fabulous!

Of the theme today, which is for you?
Is it purple or is it blue?
This Friday we have such a wonderful array
of delightful goods for you on display.
It`s a terrible thing to be tempted daily
as I start this blog off, oh so gaily.
I start to browse to find the pictures
that will become todays fixtures.
I start with one then am tempted in
I tell you, I just can`t win.
There before me a stunning show
so many things that make me glow
with the desire to own that one thing
just that one that makes my heart sing.
But it`s no good I can`t stop there
not once I click the button, it`s not fair.
Why oh why am I so weak willed
my coffers will never be filled.
Today though my resolve is firm
but desire is an insidious worm.
Today I am and strong and brave
I won`t give in to what I crave.
I`ve bought things three days on the run
for me right now, my buying is done!

#Delectable Delights. #Handmade #Folksy

Today we are once more going through the wonderful shop sellers who have favorited my shop. They must be marvellous because they like what I do. Well it`s either that or they feel sorry for me, you know, a pity vote. I`m not fussed either way, I`ll take whatever I can get. Actually this is quite a good way to do the blog for a change as it gives a little something back from me as a thank you to them. As I wander through the shops trying to decide which particular item from each delectable display I should put on here I often fight temptation. It`s not easy looking at so many delicious creations, in fact it`s bloomin hard at times. I have to say though I mostly heroically resist. YAY me!!!
Yesterday, the urge overcame me. Keep it clean please!!! The urge to paint. So I did for quite a few hours and it was great. I seem to have recovered my painting MoJo. Yippeeee!

Yesterday morning the rain fell down
it was enough to make anyone frown.
Dull and grey and I think, depressing.
I`ll admit I hate it, while I`m confessing.
The rain ran down the glass like tears,
bringing back all those old fears
of winter returning much too soon,
I think I`ll curl up before I swoon.
Still it`s yippee time too
even though there`s lots to do.
There`s no more work for over a week
but it`s not lazing time I seek.
Celebrations are coming in a few days
there won`t be any time to laze.
Lot`s of work to get this house of mine
in tip top condition, so it looks fine.
Visitors are coming and it`ll be such fun
so I want to be sure all the houseworks done.
I want to enjoy every minute they`re all here
when it will be time to relax with wine and beer.
Yesterday I had fun, guess what I did!
I did some painting, no, not of a squid!
I started off with an idea in my head
but then something else emerged instead.
That was okay because I was happy to create
with my paints and brushes and no longer wait,
for the urge to paint to return to me.
It really has and very soon you`ll see!
