Fabulous Fuschia #Etsy

Saw something in Fuschia and decided I just had to have it on here, especially as it is soooooo grey outside as I write this. Hope you like and enjoy the choices I`ve made.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Bank Holiday weekend despite the downturn in the weather.
Me, I went to the cinema with hubby, to see Divergent and we really enjoyed it.
That was after we did the food shopping. Couldn`t believe how manic the supermarket was. Hardly any spaces to park and inside was heaving too. We were lucky though and managed to get to a till that was empty, before anyone else. Was weird, further up the shop the tills had queues 4 deep waiting, yet all you had to do was walk along and the queues were much smaller.
Still I didn`t mind, it meant we whizzed through in no time. Got round in no time too as hubby was always about two aisles ahead. Guessing he really didn`t want to be there.
I expected a long wait to get out and we were lucky there too as the lights had been green emptying the long queue out, a bit of fast manouvering and were on the way home. Result!

As I sit here yawning
soon day will be dawning.
The sky starting to lighten
the sun soon to brighten
our lovely world once more
with golden light galore.
Occasionally I forget to see
what nature has to show me.
Nothing like a new day
to make me want to say
Look outside and all around
from the sky to the ground
there`s a whole world out there
take the time to stop and stare.

Elephants #Etsy

Had a lovely day out with my sister yesterday, after taking the grandsons to the park for some kite flying, followed by fun on the climbing frames and swings.
We went and saw a film I had missed when it first came out. A kids one of course, I do love the kids films. It was `Escape from Planet Earth` and was really funny, we loved it.
Then it was off for a wander round some shops and lunch out too. By the time she dropped me off we were all weary. Then I babysat the grandsons, so ended the day with lots of lovely cuddles.

A quick little ditty
that`s not very witty
all about an Ellie
with a fat bellie
she packed her case
and powdered her face
With fortune in mind
went off to find
Fame in the wide world
with trunk neatly curled.
She was seen as a prize
because of the size
of her tusks so long
ivory and strong.
So she hid away
and went home next day!!!

Eggcellent #Etsy

Today`s choice seemed a good idea in view of the fact that Easter is almost upon us. I thought you might enjoy these eggs.

Had a busy few days adventuring with the grandsons. Went to visit a good friend on Monday in a village and there is a wonderful park there, actually there are two but one has even more things to play on. Luckily it was a nice day. We took a ball and a frisbee too and were there a couple of hours. I even plucked up the courage and had a go on the zip wire, was a bit scary at first but after a few goes, getting braver and launching from a bit higher, I was loving it.
Yesterday we managed to fit in 3 different parks, as well as some kite flying, so we had two happy and weary little boys who were yawning when they went home.

The Easter eggs are no joke
except thy don`t have a yolk.
They don`t have a leg to stand on
and yet somehow are soon gone.
Now just how can that be?
They are chocolate you see.
Edible ones just don`t last
they disappear so very fast.
Everyone loves a tasty treat
and chocolate`s so good to eat.
Whether your taste is dark or light
that`s the plain, milk or white
most people like a little taste
just can`t let it go to waste!!

Patchwork #Etsy

I`ve never had all patchwork on here before.... at least I don`t think so. So today that`s just what we have.

Did way too much housework and washing yesterday, I think it should be banned, starting immediately.
I decided to have a play around with my blog settings last night. It`s been in the old style for a long time. I have changed the titles on a few of my pages lately, FB, Google+, Etsy Digi Art and Folksy so I decided this one should be changed to be in line with the others. Much nicer to have a general theme that is easily recognisable.
I`m quite pleased with it`s look. Why not tell me what you think?

The sun came out
and yet I doubt
summer is here to stay
for more than an odd day.
Nice to see the sun
maybe it`s time for fun.
Trees are getting leaves
covering like sleeves
branches reaching high
up towards the sky
Green now everywhere
makes me stop and stare.
Flowers bursting into bloom
dispelling any gloom.
Birds busy investing
their time in nesting
getting ready for their eggs
to burst out on little legs!!!

Plum & Gold #Etsy

Saw a few of these in a treasury, so I used those and then added more in the plum and the gold. I thought how well they go together and how regal they look.

Had my youngest two grandsons yesterday and they wanted to go to the park. So off we went with their bikes and they had a good play on everything. I just went on the swings and the roundabout and a quick go on the exercise equipment to prove I could. We had great fun.
After that we headed to the woods for an adventure walk and walked all around, examining things, discussing what we saw and might see. Then we headed back for lunch.
Bread I had left to rise was quickly kneaded and shaped into a plait before being left to rise again. The ham I`d left roasting was done to a turn.
After lunch we played on the trampoline for an hour or so before playing ball. It was a good day.

A lovely shade of purple, is plum,
