#ART on Folksy Friday

I haven`t put art on here for a while. I think it`s time Folksy art appeared on here once more. I decided after looking through the new listings on Folksy. There were so many wonderful pieces of art just leaping out at me that I decided the art was calling. A bit fanciful I know but sometimes that is just how the mood takes me.
I very often don`t decide the blogs direction it decides for me, kind of takes on a life of it`s own. Oh dear, now that does make me sound strange! I am not really strange, maybe a little bit eccentric at times. Ooops, I can almost see my younger daughter raising her eyebrow at me. I confess then, I can be very eccentric occasionally, but the rest of the time I do pass for normal. Sort of!

The trials and tribulations of my new bathroom being put in!

The new toilet is sitting in it`s place
it`s working too, so no longer a race
to get to the loo downstairs first
praying that you just won`t burst.
The new sink, now there`s a thing
it wasn`t making hubby`s heart sing.
A different shape, he needs more tiles
oh dear me he`s lost his smiles.
Then the pipe`s not long enough
for that too he needs more stuff.
Pipes are lengthened, now they reach
but the wrong size trap will cause a breach.
Off he went to the plumbers shop again
I`m not sure if he`ll stay sane.
The toilet gave him all sorts of trouble
especially when he watched a leak bubble.
But that got sorted out at last
now it works well and fast.
I`m dreading the bath coming out
what sort of rules will that flout?
Poor old hubby he`s been getting stressed
maybe having it done would ahve been best.
But he`s such a perfectionist you see
no one else could do the job as well as he.
Never mind it will be good when it`s done
and I will say, NEVER, EVER AGAIN!

Crafty Spectacular! #Handmade #Folksy.

Today I am back on the showing of delectable delights from the Folksy sellers who have favorited my shop. I didn`t realise when I started how long it was likely to take. However having shown the first 3 pages I feel I should continue until they have all had their turn. I may end up having to do more of them at a time, which is good for you as you get to see more wonderful goodies displayed here. I expect I will continue the displaying of these wonderful Folksy sellers on alternate days.
I hope everywhere is getting the beautiful sunny days we have had in Norfolk the last couple of days. It`s been getting quite warm too in the sun, although the temperature is still dropping at night. It does however give us hope that spring is here to stay and that summer is just around the corner.

Yesterday was so beautiful and sunny
don`t you think it`s awfully funny?
A week ago we were freezing
and now we are really breezing,
through the day with happy faces,
putting our feet through their paces.
It`s nice to be able to get outdoors
would be nicer still to be near moors.
Still, never mind, I`ll take what I can get
the city, work and my garden I`ve only been to yet.
Poor hubby is missing out on the weather
he`s keeping himself on a short tether.
Busy doing my bathroom make over
when it`s done I`ll be in clover.
The sink and toilet today have gone
but now the wood floor is done.
Good job I`ve got a downstairs loo
very glad of that extra sink too.
Lucky the bath is still in place
so I can wash more than my face.
I would be lost without my shower
great to come out smelling like a flower.
He goes back to work on Friday night
hope it`s not still looking like a building site.
Keeping him supplied with lots of tea
because that is his only fee.
Can`t wait to see it in all it`s glory
but that will be another story!

New shops #Handmade #Folksy

I looked about today and decided to show lots of wonderful creations from new shops on Folksy. There are more shops springing up all the time and it is very good to see the diversity of crafts. Lets face it even the same craft can produce amazingly different items. It`s all about the individual crafter and the slant that they put on everything they create.
It`s also very interesting to see individual crafters evolving as they try new ways of doing things and get new ideas. It happens to me as well. I get a new idea and it starts out one way and ends up entirely diferent. The lacy effect I have been crocheting just started with an idea and I had a go until I came up with something I liked the look of. It`s nice for me as well as others to have created something that is different and entirely our own.
I hope that you will have a browse through these shops if you have the time as it is very encouraging to see the view counters rise and know that people have been interested enough to look at your creations.

My anniversary went by so fast
now it`s already in the past.
The 36 years have flashed by as well
am I getting old? Just can`t tell.
Inside I always stay the same
outside it`s a different game.
I glance in the mirror and get a shock
should I be in an old lady frock?
I don`t really think so, not at all
I don`t even hear the middle age call.
Age doesn`t mean much any more
it`s more about how you feel at the core.
Me, I feel just hunky dory
late at night`s another story.
Early in the morning, maybe not so bright,
I probably look a terrible sight.
But life is really about having fun
and enjoying life in the sun.
My life is happy, I love what I do
creating wonderful things especially for you!
