Decided to have baby and nusery crafts today. There are quite a lot available and a lot of variety too. There do seem to be a lot of baby`s on the way at the moment or maybe I am just noticing them more as my daughters friend is expecting twins.
I must admit I do love babies and love cuddling them. When they are little they can`t escape. My youngest grandson is 2 and a half now and would much rather be on the move. Although he does have his moments when he will allow me to cuddle him, just not often enough.
There are so many gorgeous things available for babies and the nusery too, so much more than when I had mine. Everything is much more colourful too which is really nice.

A baby on the way?
Oh what a joyful day.
Lot`s to plan and get
or maybe not just yet.
You start to look as the bump grows
and your body changes and face glows.
Jackets and booties and vests,
don`t need much, he jests.
The list of needs gets longer still
and you begin to wonder if you will
have room for everything you need,
you`ll find the room, yes indeed.
You buy necessities and more
then wonder what some are for.
Shawls, blankets and toys,
this baby will bring many joys.
Nursery furniture and decorations,
colourful mobiles for explorations.
So much to get and to see
for such a welcome baby.

Treasures Unearthed #Handmade #Folksy

Thursday already and the week is flying by, so much to do and so little time. I decided to do an unthemed blog today, just adding everything that caught my eye. Some fabulous crafts being listed, new shops appearing too which is great, it all adds to the diversity. I do try and put a good range of crafts on here because it makes it more interesting for me as well as you. It can be fun to look through and find all the new listings and earmark some for presents. I intend to buy as many as possible from handmade crafts this year. I did get quite a few last year and through the year for birthday presents. I have found it so much easier than battling round the shops trying to find something that is different. On here it is all different and good quality too.
I was at work yesterday, so only got to do some crocheting in my lunch hour and a couple of hours in the evening. Still it`s surprising what can be accomplished in a couple of hours. Trying to think of something pretty
to write for this little ditty.
Just can`t think of a rhyme
and I`m running out of time.
Shall I talk about the crafts
of which we have rafts?
Or it could be the weather
that we talk about together.
No I`m tired of that now
and I`m mopping my brow.
The ideas are running short
and I`m feeling caught.
What to write, what to say?
Don`t have trouble another day.
The wind has addled my brain,
it`s like an unstoppable train.
The short sharp showers
are damaging the flowers,
the ones that aren`t blown away,
the garden looks sorry today.
Can`t think of anything witty,
you`ll have to make do with bitty.

Moonbeams #Handmade #Folksy.

Unsure what do do today I was looking through titles of past blogs and nothing came to me. I kept looking further and further back until inspiration struck. I had done stars before but never the moon, so I rushed off to put moon into the search on Folksy and came up with quite a few delectable creations.
I don`t know about you but I find the moon utterly fascinating. I love seeing the new moon and often just stand outside and gaze at it. Sometimes it hangs there so big that you almost feel as though you could reach out and touch it. It always seems to me that the full moon soon appears and then disappears far too quickly. It`s amazing how many people are affected by the moon. It seems to affect a lot of people`s sleep patterns as well as their moods. Then of course it affects the tides too. I could spout on for ages about the moon but I will stop there else it will get boring.
I have as usual been busy creating more new things. The coasters are finished now and look very festive. One scarf is done and another different one is under way, with more ideas in the pipeline. I really need to get off this red and white kick I`m on otherwise I`ll end up having a whole page of nothing but red and white. Well maybe not, I will list other things in between for variety.

I saw the half moon so big and bright
it glowed with unearthly light.
So big I could see the shadows on there,
it just made me stand and stare.
I love to see the waxing moon,
trouble is it starts waning too soon.
The wind was strong and blowing,
the moon sat so still, glowing.
Sometimes it`s there before it`s dark,
faintly glowing for a lark.
Other times as the day lightens,
it`s still there till the sun brightens.
In the first light of dawn
the moon is fading with the morn.
It vanishes in the morning light
as the sun comes up, so bright
that it vanquishes the night
and the moon disappears from sight.
It hasn`t gone, it`s just hidden
and stays away until it is bidden
to return to the world once more
to send it`s light along the shore.
Walking in the moonlight is fun
only possible once the day is done!
